We’ll provide beer, wine, and mini-cupcakes by Kathryn (Facebook & Insta: @BatterBabeAZ). You'll get to participate in a hands-on demo of Ranked Choice Voting where we'll rank the mini-cupcakes. Our brief presentation will teach you all about the problems with current elections, how RCV works, and how VCAZ is bringing RCV to the state.
We like Ranked Choice Voting because it is a small change in our elections that can make a big difference in improving our political discourse. RCV makes third party candidates viable and allows everyone to vote for the candidates they most prefer — not the lesser of two evils. It disincentivizes negative campaigning, and prevents candidates from winning with less than 50% of the vote. No other change could have quite as much impact right now.
